My conversation with Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO of Winamp, took me down nostalgia lane.
Winamp is a media player originally built for Windows. It was developed by Justin Frankel and Dmitry Boldyrev’s company Nullsoft, which was sold to AOL for $80 million in 1999 and then Radionomy in 2014.
The popular media player continues to live on to this day, and they’re continuing to disrupt the music technology landscape. When Winamp’s team reached out to me to have Alexandre on the show, I was ecstatic.
